The qualification is aimed at anyone who is 19+ and wishes to work in Health and Social Care. It is ideal to show an employer (current or future) that this career is for you! The qualification provides the knowledge and deeper understanding needed to work in the many and varied full and part-time roles within health & social care.

Completion of this course will take about 70 hours and on average learners complete it within 2 – 6 weeks depending on the time given to the learning. Through this course, you will increase your self-confidence and development of knowledge surrounding health and social care. Topics such as care responsibilities and welfare will be covered within the course to give you a deeper understanding of what it takes to become a health and social care professional.

Course Contents

The aims of the qualification are to enable learners to:

• Explore at an introductory level the many potential career pathways in health and social care
• Develop a range of skills needed for working with children and adults and assisting with their learning and development
• Grow an understanding of the scope and breadth of roles in the care sector
• Understand how to apply skills and use various activities to enable decision-making with confidence about your chosen career
