The qualification is aimed at anyone who is 19+ and wishes to increase their digital skills needed for work and life. It is ideal to show an employer (current or future) you can access digital content, or interact with digital devices that are becoming commonplace in a work environment.
The qualification will allow you to acquire the skills to enable learners to be digitally mobile and important governmental services, transact online and explore technologies, which will improve your social interactions with family and friends.
Completion of this course will take about 50 hours and on average learners complete it within 2 – 6 weeks depending on the time given to the learning. Through this course, you will increase your self-confidence and development of knowledge surrounding digital skills. Topics such as digital devices, sharing content and using digital devices will give you a deeper understanding of what it takes to become more digitally aware to help gain employment, increase your current employment progression and help aid relationships with family and friends.
Course Contents
The aims of the qualification are to enable learners to:
- To be confident in interacting with digital devices
- To have a secure knowledge and understanding of essential digital skills and be able to apply them in work, life and further study
- To be able to solve common technical problems
- To be able to create, edit and store digital media
- To be able to successfully share content and communicate effectively using a digital device
- To manage online accounts and make informed choices when transacting online
- To be proficient in maintaining your privacy online and protecting your personal information
